Souter Lighthouse is one of those landmarks that always works from the air - sat right on the edge, with the cliffs, the sea, and that stretch of coast all feeding into the shot. What I like about this one is how clean it reads from above. The tower, the buildings around it, the headland, and the North Sea doing what it does in the background. A quick fly around Roker Lighthouse — one of Sunderland’s most recognisable coastal markers. Standing at the end of the pier since 1903, it’s been guiding ships into the Wear for well over a century.
