CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) today introduced CrowdStrike SafeMind, a family of purpose-built security models and harnesses from the CrowdStrike Cyber Superintelligence Lab. The SafeMind agentic system will operate natively in the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform.
OpenAI said it will make Astra available "soon," but access to its cybersecurity capabilities will be limited.
Cloudflare Inc. today opened early access to Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation, a service that uses OpenAI Group PBC’s cybersecurity models to find software flaws in customer applications and block attacks on them at the network edge.
The company on Tuesday announced SafeMind, a family of models and model harnesses built in partnership with Nvidia using the chip maker's Nemotron open models. At the core of SafeMind are two models: a model designed to emulate AI cyberattacks called Red Tempest, and a defensive model called Blue Solano built to deploy cyber defenses.
The AI lab said it could not rule out a new model had reached "Critical" capability, meaning it could launch cyberattacks against sophisticated cyber defenses.
AI is now moving organizations toward Machine-Speed Security, where detection, analysis and containment increasingly occur faster than humans can reasonably intervene.
The CrowdStrike work follows an on-premises confidential AI platform Fortanix built with Nvidia, released last October for regulated industries. Securing AI takes more than blocking attacks, Chief Product Officer Anuj Jaiswal said, because the data and models have to be protected while they are running.
